BLACK SUNDAY

“There is more noise here than the music” that’s my friend Angel. It’s coming to the closure of the day and its unbelievable.

I wake this morning and It’s a cloudy day. Who wakes up at 6 am on a Sunday? Well, I have to rush to the hair dresser because I failed to make it yesterday. By 11 am, I should be headed to church but am off to office to finish my assignment due tomorrow. It starts raining. My newly plaited hair is not only giving me a head ache but is also wet.

I reach office and my adapter is missing, my laptop battery is dead. I can’t work, cant do anything. OMG. I prepare to go home and its raining harder now. Angel calls me and affirms that we need to do something this Sunday. Only we have no idea what it is. What do people do on Sunday afternoons?

At 6 pm, we decide on an evening walk. The grass looks greener now. It’s like the rains washed way the sad moments of the day. We bump into a food festival and there is lots of it, music and art on exhibition. My day is brighter now, my evening actually. The after party is accentuated with African jazz rhythms. I want to stay here.

I need to find a drink, the bar is closed and there is no music in the bar, only noise. So we go back outside to enjoy the evening. The sky is filled with stars and the moon is rising.
